Description
Trash to Treasures is a parent-child, activity-based program at the Longmont Museum. For Trash to Treasures activities, at least 25% of their materials are recycled.
Goal / Mission
The premise of Trash to Treasures is items that would normally be thrown away or possibly recycled can be used for museum activities.
Results / Accomplishments
In practice, an average of 51 percent of activities incorporate recycled materials, thereby doubling the original commitment on the grant applications.
